June Dining Deals Available Next Tuesday, May 28, at 9 a.m.
The June Dining Deals will be available at the Link Office at Mountain Shadows, starting Tuesday, May 28, at 9 a.m. In addition to the Dining Deals coupon sheet available in the Link Magazine, residents may receive three extra sheets by showing their Association ID card at the Link Office. This month’s featured restaurants include Suncoast, Omelet House, Naka Sushi, Grape Vine Wine Bar & Cellar, Wild Fig Kitchens, Mimi’s Café, Oh la la French bistro and Chow Mein House.
Boy Scouts' Ceremony Sends Off Old Glory

The Sun City Security Patrol welcomed Boy Scouts from Las Vegas Troop 912 on Saturday, May 11, during its annual volunteer appreciation picnic at Desert Vista. The event, which serves a dual purpose as a social and education event, helps Scouts and guests learn about the history of the U.S. flag. Before Scouts retire the flag, they take turns sharing information about the significance of the stars and stripes. After the ceremony, the Patrol thanked its volunteers for their service to the community with a festive lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers and Bratwurst.
A Second Chick-fil-A Moves Closer to Sun City
It has been reported by local media outlets that a second Chick-fil-A location is on its way to be opened in the spot currently occupied by Claim Jumper at the corner of Charleston Boulevard and Fort Apache Road. Claim Jumper closed last week. The new drive-through restaurant, with an adjacent retail building is expected to open by December.
