MESSAGES FROM SUN CITY SUMMERLIN'S
COMMUNITY STANDARDS DEPARTMENT

Weeds, Weeds, and More Weeds!

Picture

It’s that time of year again when Mother Nature shows us just exactly what she can do with her powers – weeds everywhere.  Even if we have desert landscaping, weeds have a way of sprouting up between the rocks.  Weather the past few months has not helped either.

Please take a look at your yards and help us refrain from writing violation letters.  It’s your responsibility to keep your yards “weed free”.  And remember, homeowners are responsible for the landscape on the outside of walls on your property that border streets.  Give no mercy to those weeds; they have to go also!

GRATITUDE GARDEN BRICK DONATION PROGRAM

Picture
Photo Credit:  Richard Becker / Link
Dear Sun City Summerlin Owners and Residents,

I am pleased to announce that our Gratitude Garden Brick Donation Program has launched, and you now can have an engraved brick placed in the Gratitude Garden.

The Gratitude Garden is at Mountain Shadows Community Center at the patio area just outside the Monitors Station.  Presently this is a large brick patio where we can host events or people can go and sit to enjoy the weather.  As people purchase bricks, we will replace an existing brick with the engraved one.  The current bricks that will be removed will be used in other areas of our community to create walkways or smaller seating areas.

You can order a brick or multiple bricks by clicking on this link or visiting www.4everbricks.com/donors/scscai/, filling in the information and paying with credit card. Click here for a copy of the order form.

Right now, the website has the standard clip art, but we will be adding Bocce, Racquet Ball, Hiking, Bicycling and others that you request.  So, if you would like to see clip art that represents your Club or activity, please just send me an email, and if there is clip art out there available, we will have it added.

Your brick(s) will be sent to my office, and when they are installed, you will be notified.  Also, don’t forget if you are purchasing a brick as a gift or to honor someone you can also purchase a mini brick to give to the person or their family, or you just may want one for yourself.

LOYALTY CLUB PROGRAM UPDATE
THE SUMMIT AND TAVERN AT THE FALLS RESTAURANTS

Restaurant Loyalty Club Program
Final Phase Update

Our Sun City Summerlin Community Association, Inc., Restaurant Loyalty Club Program is a big success for the Association and those of you taking advantage of the bonuses and discounts.

We phased this program in over the last several months to give you a chance to get signed up. If you have not yet signed up, the next time you are at the Tavern at the Falls Restaurant or the Summit Restaurant, just ask your server to sign you up, it is free, and you receive 25 bonus points just for signing up.

Now that a few months have passed since we launched this program, those of you who signed up have had time to build up bonus points and discounts, the last phase of initiating this program went into effect on Friday, January 27, 2023. We opened on the morning of Friday, January 27th, with the menu pricing (prices listed on the menu) will be the price paid by everyone, all discounts, and rewards for eating at the restaurants will be issued from your Restaurant Loyalty Club Program.  This includes $5.00 off one time during your birthday month, and $5.00 off for every $50.00 you have spent at Tavern at the Falls or Summit Restaurants.

We appreciate those of you who make our restaurants “your place” to eat, and your loyalty helps to make the restaurants viable, and through this program we can in turn issue rewards, discounts and even specials to you.

Sincerely,
Mitzi Mills, CAM, AMS ,CMCA, LSM, PCAM
