Desert Vista Fitness Center Update
Desert Vista Outdoor Pool Re-Opens Wednesday, September 30 at 6 am!
We’re excited to welcome you back to the Desert Vista Outdoor Pool on Wednesday, September 30. Only the outdoor pool is open currently. Hard work continues inside the fitness center building to repair and renovate locker rooms, to paint and to replace flooring.
What are the hours of the Desert Vista Outdoor Pool?
6 am - 6 pm daily
Where is the entrance to the Desert Vista Outdoor Pool?
Pool Gate located directly in front of the golf cart parking in the parking lot. The Southern Nevada Health District requires all pool gates to remain closed when pool is in operation. The pool monitor will open the gate when you arrive.
Will there be access to the front door of the fitness center or any part of the fitness center building?
No. All doors leading into the building will be locked.
Will I need my association card to check-in to outdoor pool?
Yes.
What about bathrooms and shower?
There are bathrooms located in the outdoor pool area and there is one shower.
What are the Southern Nevada Health District requirements for all aquatic facilities (Section 4-402.2)?
Shower before entering the water.
Do not swim if you have open wounds.
Do not swim if you are ill with diarrhea or have had diarrhea within the past two weeks.
Does anything change with Pickleball and Bocce Ball now that the outdoor pool is open?
Patrol will continue to open the Pickleball courts at 6 am and close the courts at 9 pm every day. Courts are first come first serve when there is not dedicated Pickleball club time. Patrol will have keys to the Desert Vista Outdoor Storage closet where there are Bocce Balls for Club play and non-club play. You must leave an association card to check out keys for Bocce Ball.

Glass Coating Pool Surface completed for the Indoor Pool, Indoor Spa, and Outdoor Pool.
Aquaflex Pool decking completed for Indoor Pool and Outdoor Pool.
Water damage and remediation inside the walls caused by leaks in the pipes servicing the showers is completed.
Interior painting of hallway, gym, group exercise room, and indoor pool area is completed.
Replacement ceiling fans in gym and group exercise room is competed.

Thank you to everyone who came out to this year’s Arts & Crafts Fair!
What an amazing turnout, from our fabulous new resident vendors to all of you who stopped by to do a little early holiday shopping. It was wonderful to see so many residents enjoying the day and supporting our talented community vendors.
A big thank you to our Facilities Maintenance team for all their hard work helping us put the fair together, and to Sun City Summerlin Patrol for all their assistance. And a very special thank you to The Summit for providing delicious food and pastries for everyone to enjoy! What a wonderful team we all make! Events like this truly take a community effort, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Arts & Crafts Fair such a success.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS DEPARTMENT
PARKING IN SUN CITY SUMMERLIN
Sun City Summerlin streets are public streets, owned and maintained by the City of Las Vegas and are subject to all Municipal Vehicle Codes. Residents may report any violations to the City of Las Vegas Parking Enforcement at 702-229-6615.
It is unlawful to abandon or park a vehicle in the street for more than 72 consecutive hours. Moving a vehicle every three (3) days a few feet will not avert a violation.
Vehicles of all Owners, Lessees and Residents, and of their guests are to be kept in garages, carports, residential driveways of the Owner, and other designated parking areas wherever and whenever such facilities are sufficient to accommodate the number of vehicles at a Lot or Parcel.
Commercial vehicles parked in a residential area must be for the transportation of passengers only and not for advertising purposes.
No automobile, motorcycle, motorbike, or other motor vehicle shall be constructed, reconstructed, or repaired upon any Lot, Parcel or Street in Sun City Summerlin, only a registered vehicle to the property Owner.
No inoperable vehicle may be stored or parked on any such Lot, Parcel or Street, so as to be Visible from Neighboring Property or to be visible from common areas or streets.

NEW RESIDENT ORIENTATION

If you already have received your Homeowner Association Card or Renters Card you are invited to attend a New Resident Orientation. Orientations are held on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and Thursday afternoons at 4 p.m. Beginning in July 2026, the Thursday afternoons orientations will begin at 3:30 p.m.

**If you have not yet had an opportunity to come in and get your Homeowner Association Card or Renters Card, please call the Membership Services Office at 702.966.1401, option 1, to schedule an appointment to get registered, have your picture taken and receive your card. While you are at the Membership Services Office getting your card, the staff member assisting you will also schedule you for one of the New Resident Orientations.
