WOULD LIKE YOUR OLD KITCHEN CABINET HINGES
Are you renovating your kitchen? Does it have the original cabinets? If so, the Volunteers of Sun City Summerlin would like you to donate the hinges for those residents who need them due to breakage. The company no longer provides them, and we do make visits to fix the 'original cabinet' hinges at no charge. They would be put to good use!

SUN CITY SUMMERLIN DANCE COMPANY
The Sun City Summerlin Dance Company invites you to join our club for an amazing array of dance classes and performance opportunities. We offer a wide variety of genres, including tap, jazz, drill, musical theatre and chair tap.
Check our website (SCSDanceCo.org) for instructions on how to become a member as well as descriptions of each class offered. We are now in full swing preparation for our “Rock This Town” Spring show at the Starbright Theatre.
Performances are scheduled for Saturday, May 10, at 6 pm and Sunday, May 11, at 2 pm. Tickets will be going on sale March 25, 2025. It’s bound to be a rocking good time.

Class Descriptions:
8 Brocade, Yang 24, Yang 37
This intermediate tai chi class starts with 8 Brocade Qigong warm up exercises, then lets members improve their skills in the two basic Yang forms of tai chi.
Introduction to Tai Chi
This basic tai chi class provides both the welcome and confidence for absolute beginners to experience and enjoy their Introduction to Tai Chi.
Yang 24 &108, Mixed 48
This advanced tai chi class starts with 8 Brocade warm up exercises, followed by the Yang 24 Simplified Form, the Yang Style 108 Form, and concludes with the Combined 48 Form.
Qigong sampler, Yang 24, Tai Chi Qigong 32
This beginner class introduces Yang family 24 step form and multiple qigong exercises.
Yang 37 (Alex’s Form)
This intermediate tai chi class is for those able to self-guide and works solely with the Yang 37 Form.
Staying Strong with +Tai Chi Qigong
This introductory qigong class is a 32 posture sequence for beginners that focuses on energizing one’s mind and body.
PICKLEBALL CLUB
Open play for club members is every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings 8-11 am. Any resident and club member can join us for Social Play every afternoon at 2 pm. All players and guests with guest passes must sign in at the Desert Vista Fitness monitor desk before entering the courts. Any Sun City resident may set up Pickleball play at other times by signing in and checking out the keys to the courts.

THE CRUISERS OF SUN CITY SUMMERLIN
So, you like, love, and enjoy cars, of all makes…. join us for a CRUISE IN, DRIVES, CAR SHOWS, EVENTS along with camaraderie by becoming a member of CRUISERS Sun City. We are a group of enthusiasts that enjoy cars, trucks, custom golf carts and motorcycles…pretty much anything that you can drive.
Second Wednesdays of the month “CRUISE IN” brings together a broad selection of vehicles and diverse owners to meet, enjoy, and discuss our favorite hobby. Our monthly “DRIVE”, an organized event with a predetermined route and driver support, takes you throughout Clark County via 40- 300-mile road trips to enjoy your car's capabilities and friends on interesting scenic routes. The “CAR SHOW”, is an annual event featuring all classes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd placing with trophies and dash plaques being handed out to the winners. Finally, our quarterly “EVENTS” will feature get-together events for Christmas, Spring, Hawaiian and Halloween parties.

The Racquetball Club enjoyed an active 2024 season adding new Club members, continuing quarterly prize drawings, and holding member doubles tourneys. The Club participated in the SCS Club Fair and won the Chili Cookoff in October.

Reading music is not a requirement - the pursuit of fun is! Sun City Silvertones Club rehearsals resumed on Thursday, September 5, at 12:34 p.m. in the Pinnacle Music Room.

MUSICMAKERS CLUB
If you love music and like to sing or play an instrument, do come and check out the Musicmakers.
We are a four-part harmony ensemble of singers who enjoy rehearsing and/or performing. Regular choral sessions are Mondays and Wednesdays 1-3 PM at the Pinnacle Music Studio, normally September through April. Jam sessions for instrumentalists are also scheduled 3PM to 5PM.
The summer schedule of 2024 will include instrumentalists on Mondays at 3PM. Singers will begin in August only on Mondays from 1PM to 3PM.
Regular meetings of the club are every first Monday at 12:30 in the Music Studio. We ask all Musicmakers to NOT WEAR FRAGRANCE OF ANY KIND (perfume, after shave, hair spray, hand lotion etc.). ALLERGIES!

The Sunshine Service Club lends walkers, canes, transporters, wheelchairs and shower chairs free for two months.
Baby furniture such as highchairs, booster seats, and strollers can be borrowed for two weeks.
Folding tables and chairs may be borrowed for six days.
These services are for residents only - cards must be presented to borrow any equipment.
The Warehouse is open Monday through Saturday from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. They are closed on Sundays.
You can reach the warehouse by calling 702.341.9741.
We are always welcoming new volunteers. Applications are available at the warehouse during business hours or at our meetings. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month [except for July and August] at 11 a.m. at the Desert Vista Community Center. Light refreshments are served. No membership dues.
