New Community Flag: Tell Us What You Think
You may have noticed that Sun City Summerlin is flying a brand new, colorful flag at its community centers and entrances. The new design is a direct result of requests for a welcoming banner that represents the warmth of community spirit and active lifestyle enjoyed by residents. Softball Field Grand Opening Set for Friday
Round up your fellow sports fans and head up to the Pinnacle Field on Friday, September 29, 9 a.m., and be part of the fun. Sun City Men’s Softball Club will dedicate the newly renovated softball field with an opening ceremony featuring special guests, exhibition games, and free hot dogs, chips and beverages while supplies last. Refreshments are courtesy of CG&B Construction and the Men’s Softball Club. And be sure to check out the October Link for the behind-the-scenes story on the evolution of the Pinnacle Field.
Link Office Closed on Friday
The Link will be closed on Friday, September 29, as the staff travels to Carson City, Nev., to accept a first-place award from the Nevada Press Association during the organization's annual convention. The Nevada Press Association is the professional trade organization for news publications in the state. It was officially organized in 1924. The NPA is dedicated to protecting the First Amendment, supporting fellowship among publications and encouraging the elevation of journalistic standards and promoting the value of advertising.
