SUN CITY KNOWS HOW TO CELEBRATE!
Residents' Forum, Canasta Club Turns Out For Fun
From the Residents’ Forum holiday party on December 11 to the Canasta extravaganza on December 12, no one parties quite like Sun City’s club members. Did you know that every resident is a member of the Residents’ Forum? The organization is 100-percent supported by donations and presents free events on the second Wednesday of each month at Desert Vista. In December, the Forum hosted the United States Marine Corps.’ Toys for Tots program, where admission was a donated toy. Residents’ Forum confirmed it collected seven-and-a-half boxes of toys that evening. Next up, Bingo was the activity for the night, followed by the announcement of the Deck the House holiday lights contest, where Joan and Steve Soltz took first place.
The next day, Canasta Club members transformed the High Sierra ballroom at Mountain Shadows into their own winter wonderland complete with a Mediterranean feast, gifts for every member, musical entertainment and, what else, Canasta!
