Ohlala French Bistro is a modern French bistro that will give you a new appreciation and love for French food. The man behind this love story is Richard Terzaghi.
Richard Terzaghi was born in Montelimar, France. Montelimar is located in the south east of France in Provence. He has a varied restaurant background starting when he moved to San Francisco in the earlies 2000s. At that time, he started working in a French restaurant specializing in mussels. Then, in 2002, he ventured out on his own and opened Baraka Restaurant located on Potrero Hill in San Francisco. Baraka was featuring a Northern African, Spanish and French cuisine.
In 2004, he opened Couleur Café still on Potrero Hill featuring a French comfort food cuisine. And, in 2005, he took over L'Osteria del Forno on Columbus Avenue in the heart of North Beach, San Francisco. L'Osteria del Forno was owned by his cousin, Wally Tettamanti and Susana Borgatti. Richard is French with an Italian background. This Italian Osteria was one of the oldest Italian restaurant in North Beach.
In 2016, Richard decided to relocate himself to Las Vegas where he opened Ohlala French Bistro at end of 2016. He also opened La Cantine, a French-influence sandwich place on Tenaya Way. Two years ago sold the La Cantine.
