Craft Fair Sign-Up

Artists and Crafters!  Sign up for the annual Sun City Summerlin Arts & Crafts Fair is on Thursday, September 2nd.  Doors open at 8 a.m.

Spaces are available to Sun City Summerlin residents only.  Please show your Association card at the time of registration.  Only hand-crafted items are allowed.

Cost of registration is $25 per space.  The space includes a 6' table and two chairs.  There is a two space limit per crafter.


Fall Arts & Crafts Fair will take place on Saturday, October 2nd, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Band Night at The Summit

In an era where live music seems to be the same no matter where you go, or you can almost guess what the band will play next. Laurie Cook comes along and proves that not all bands are alike. This beautiful and talented artist can sing and play anything. Along with being a singer and songwriter, she also plays a number of instruments. Laurie Cook & the Heat will keep you dancin’ all night long along with Steve Scheck on Trombone, Timothy Samarin on vocals and guitar, Scott Sanford on sax and flute, Bryan Smith on Drums, and FredeReko Galvan on percussion.

Each week, on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., Executive Director Mitzi Mills will host a Zoom Meeting to report on and update on activities from the week. These reports will include COVID-19 updates, project updates, Sun City Summerlin business and when appropriate City of Las Vegas issues that may impact Sun City Summerlin or its Owners and residents.

Carpenters Tribute

Direct from Las Vegas, Carpenters Tribute Concert: A Re-creation of the 1976 UK Tour is the definitive show celebrating the music and legacy of the famed brother-sister duo. Starring Sally Olson as Karen Carpenter and Ned Mills as Richard Carpenter, the show is a re-creation of the 1976 UK tour, featuring hits including “We’ve Only Just Begun”, “Yesterday Once More”, “Superstar”, Karen’s drum solo, Richard's classical piano feature, a Spike Jones parody of "Close To You", comedy antics and much more.  Olson is the first-ever and only Karen Carpenter tribute artist to perform with the world-renowned Las Vegas based review Legends In Concert.

This 2016 film begins when a retired high school teacher Eva (Shirley McLaine) loses her husband, she mistakenly receives a $5,000,000 check on her deceased husband's $50,000 life insurance policy. Her friend Maddie (Jessica Lange), whose husband has just left her for a younger woman, convinces her to keep the money and they both depart to live it up at a resort on Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands.  You can imagine the hilarity as they begin looking for love and fun among the Canary Islands.
