Photos by Barbara  Holden/Link
The Neighborhood Preparedness Team welcomed Neighborhood Watch block captains to two events last week designed to share information on local  safety efforts. The event brought together volunteers from NPT, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Security Patrol, who talked about how all three groups work tirelessly to keep Sun City one of the safest communities in the valley. NPT Board Liaison Barbara Holden addressed the room, as did LVMPD Crime Prevention Specialist Randy Klenosky and Security Patrol Chief Sandy Lyons.

Virtual Vietnam Wall

We have all heard, and many of us have seen the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Did you know that there is now a virtual wall available on the Web? At virtualwall.org, you can access information on those who served or were lost by clicking on the state, city (or in many cases the neighborhood) where the U.S. veteran lived. The names will appear in alphabetical order. One click and you can access their picture, a short military biography and medals awarded.
